| Friday, October 17, 2008

sounds funny? ya its true Japanese telecom giant NTT come up with an idea of producing Electric current from shoes. powering is a major problem for major electronic gadgets while you are on the move.for this they came up with a solution of powering them from shoes. gadgets get power from the shoes while walking.

The shoes have small generator attached to it consisting of water filled soles, while walking it put pressure on the soles causing the small water turbine to spin and it will generate power from it

Currently it can generate upto 1.2 watts of electricity ( which is more than enough to power ipod) and they are working to get about 3 watts from it so that in future they may able to power up a mobile phone.
